Chinese language week!

WALT: USE PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AND LICTRECY KNOWLEDGE TO MAKE MEANINGS FROM TEXTS. 

This week we didn't really have a book choice because we are celebrating Chinese language week! 

We had to read or listen to the different zodiac animals race. For the first create task we had to create a 5 piece comic strip about our favourite scene in the story. For the create task 2 we had to google ( if we didn't know it ) we had to compere it to the Chinese dragon and write 4-5 facts about it. The national animal of Afghanistan is a snow leopard. So down below, if you scroll is the 2 tasks I have completed. For the third create task we had to create a anamograph of the Chinese character for a bull ( or cow )   and we and to do it on paper because it was art and I can not take a photo on my Chromebook. Then I went on google translate because I could not find my name of the link the teachers gave me. I am not sure if it is correct because I do not know Chinese, but if you do please comment and let me know.

Vector drawing

last week we did art , and we did a vector drawing! I chose a panda in the forest. It took me about 2-3 days I don't really remember. I really thought about the shades of the face. Take a look and enjoy!

Kupe and the giant wheke

WALT  :Anylase and evaluate the actions and story lines of Maori myths and legends. 

This week I am reading kupe and the giant wheke. I had done my 1st and second create task already so here it is I will try get my 3rd create task done soon. We had to for the first create task evaluate the myth and agree or disagree. I agreed you can see my reasons why below. For the next create task we had to analyse the story. Sorry I can not show you a photo of it but just saying it is there.

How Maui discovered fire

Since this week is Te Reo Maori language week we are reading old maori stories that have been passed on for generations and are very old. We had a choice of: How Maui discovered fire, (the one I am reading) the creation of night and day, Rata and the Totara tree, and also kupe and the giant wheke. So far I have finished the create task 1 and 2. We had to analyse the story then we had evaluate the story for if we agreed or disagreed with the statement "maui was right to trick mahukia" I disagreed you can see why below. So here is the drawing of the evaluation sheet. Under that there is a photo of the anylesing sheet.

Here is my screencatify of my create task 3 we had to create an animation of the moari words in the myth, but my book had no moari words except for names and I write who they were. Sorry I couldn't do real animations, but I did the best I could do!

The bubble project

 hey bloggers today me and my sibliings made a cool bubble mixture that apparently could bounce. this was kind of like a science experiment because you kinda had to predict if it actually would bounce. anyway, i thought it wouldn't. but guess what it proved me wrong! at start it didn't really bounce and also there wasn't good bubbles so i added more dishwashing liqud and i guess it kind of improved. maybe me did something wrong. i don't know. if you want to make your own bouncing bubble mixture click on this link!  maybe you could try it and see what happens! if it works maybe you could link your blog in the comments and i will check it out. Down below here is a video of me bouncing the bubbles i tried to do it the first 2 times but them i did it and succeeded in the 3rd!

 hey bloggers this week i made a mask design for fun because i had nothing to do. i did my name and some flowers on it and some hearts for the finishing touch. honestly it took not that of a long time i really enjoyed and i hope you did too.

today was my birthday i turned 10 double digets. we had lots of fun celebrating it. we made the most of our time at home. i really enjoyed my day with my family even though we were stuck at home. today was fun. i really hope we can go to school soon!
