Earthquakes report!

 Hey bloggers ,

Quite a while ago i had to write an report and not just any report an earthquake report . We had to use a BLT planning template which stands for BACON , LETTUCE , TOMATO . Unfortunately  I was not able to each it because as  I said It is a sheet of paper . Anyway , Please don't be scared to leave a comment !

                        EARTHQUAKES

Introduction -

An earthquake is when the ground shakes, rolls

and moves.

Did you know that earth is like a jigsaw puzzle

because earth has these things called tectonic plates .

Did you know that tectonic plates only move 1-2

centimeters a year !

Paragraph 1-

Topic sentence- There are three different types of

earthquakes. The first type of earthquake is called  a convergent.

This is when 2 pieces of land slip against each other

to form many mountains or hills . The next one is the

divergent here , the 2 pieces of land spread apart

from each other to form a river . Another type of

earthquake is a transform fault; this is when they

slip against each other , also called a strike slip .

And that is all 3 of the different types of earthquakes

Paragraph 2 - Liquefaction

Topic sentence:  When there's an earthquake

happening liquefaction is created.

When an earthquake happens the soil  rises because

of the tectonic plates that are shaking, But when

they shake they come apart and the natural water

that is under the ground rises up and meets the soil.

When it meets the soil it turns into mud .  The mud

loosens and rises up, which is what causes liquefaction .

In my opinion earthquakes are very scary and

unexpected cause imagine if you were in the most

dangerous places for earthquakes how would you know

you know if an earthquake was about to strike when

you were on holiday!
